Worth remembering

Queuing: 5 shares minimum

In the queue every order needs at least 5 shares: US$ 2.50 at odd 2.00 and US$ 0.50 at odd 10.00. Polymarket charges no fee.

Taking: US$ 1 minimum

An order matched at once needs 5 shares and US$ 1. On a lay the US$ 1 counts on the liability: at odd 1.10 the smallest stake that takes is over US$ 10.

Taking pays the fee

In Sports it goes from almost zero on the favourite to close to 5% of the stake on the outsider. Back and lay pay the same.

Polymarket fees as of October 2026, charged only to the taker: Sports 5%, Politics 4%, Crypto 7% and Geopolitics free, on price × (1 − price) of each share. Layback charges 0.10% when you take and 0.05% when you queue. Selling a position you already hold, and some markets, may have a different minimum.
